Tali Hershkovitz, EAS MA student, receives Feng Zikai award for outstanding essay written by a foreigner in China

Tali Hershkovitz, second year MA student in East Asian Studies, has been awarded the Feng Zikai award for outstanding essay written by a foreigner in China (Feng Zikai Waiguo sanwen jiang 丰子恺外国散文奖). The award ceremony was held in the city of Tongxiang in Zhejiang province, which was his hometown.  Feng Zikai (1898-1975) was a renowned Chinese writer and manhua artist. 

Tali turned a portion of her master's thesis from Beijing Language and Culture University into an article/essay in early 2016. Her essay "Confucian Wisdom from a Jewish/Israeli Perspective" (Chinese: yiselie ren yanzhong de rujia zhihui 以色列人眼中的儒家智慧) was published in the magazine Meiwen (美文).
